Priyanka Gandhi’s Son Raihan Vadra Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend Aviva Baig

New Delhi, December 30, 2025: In a heartwarming development for one of India’s prominent political families, Raihan Rajiv Vadra, the 25-year-old son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra, has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Aviva Baig.

Sources close to the family confirmed that Raihan proposed to Aviva after seven years of dating, and she accepted. The proposal took place recently in an intimate setting with both families present, and the union has received full approval from the Vadra and Baig families. The couple’s engagement marks a joyful personal milestone amid the family’s active involvement in public life.

The families share a long-standing friendship. Aviva’s mother, Nandita Baig, an interior designer, is a close friend of Priyanka Gandhi and has previously collaborated on projects, including the interiors of the Congress headquarters. Aviva’s father, Imran Baig, is a Delhi-based businessman. The two families have known each other for years, with reports suggesting that Raihan and Aviva even attended the same school in Delhi during their early years.

A more formal engagement ceremony is reportedly planned for early January 2026 in Rajasthan, likely in the scenic Ranthambore region, and is expected to be a low-key, private affair attended only by close family members.

About the Couple

Raihan Vadra, a visual artist and photographer, has carved a niche for himself in the creative world away from the political spotlight. He completed his schooling at The Doon School in Dehradun—an institution also attended by his grandfather, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, and uncle Rahul Gandhi—and later pursued higher studies in politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University in London. Photography has been a passion since childhood, encouraged by his mother Priyanka and inspired by Rajiv Gandhi’s own love for the lens. Raihan’s work spans wildlife, street, and commercial photography, with notable solo exhibitions including “Dark Perception” in 2021 at Bikaner House in New Delhi.

Aviva Baig, also Delhi-based, shares Raihan’s creative interests. She is a talented photographer and producer, co-founder of Atelier 11, a photographic studio and production house. Her portfolio explores everyday life, portraiture, travel, and social issues, with works exhibited at events like the India Art Fair. Aviva attended Modern School in Delhi and graduated with a degree in Media Communication and Journalism from OP Jindal Global University. Adding to her multifaceted profile, she is a former national-level football player.

The Vadra family has not issued an official statement yet, maintaining their preference for privacy in personal matters. As preparations continue quietly, the engagement brings a moment of celebration for the Gandhi-Vadra family.
