2024 Tata Safari Storme Classic to take on the Scorpio Classic – Price Launch Details
The 2024 Tata Safari Storme Classic and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic are both robust SUVs with their own unique features and specifications.
The Tata Safari Storme Classic is powered by a 2.0L turbo diesel engine, producing 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. It is available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The manual version offers a mileage of 16.14 kmpl, while the automatic version delivers 14.08 kmpl. The ex-showroom price of the Tata Safari ranges from ₹16.19 to ₹27.34 lakh.
On the other hand, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic features a 2.2L turbo diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering 130PS of power and 300Nm of torque. The Scorpio Classic offers a slightly better mileage of 16.46 kmpl. It is priced at ₹17.34 lakh ex-showroom.
In terms of dimensions, the Tata Safari is 4456mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1995mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2680mm. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic, in contrast, has a length of 4668mm, a width of 1922mm, and a height of 1795mm, with a longer wheelbase of 2741mm.
Both vehicles come equipped with features like power steering, power windows, air conditioning, and cruise control. The Tata Safari has an edge in terms of interior and comfort features, offering automatic climate control and a multifunction steering wheel, which are not available in the base model of the Scorpio Classic.
