The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra recently underwent a rigorous 6-hour freeze test and impressively survived without any damage to its speakers, camera lens, or other functionalities.

In this test, conducted by the YouTube channel TechDroider, the Galaxy S24 Ultra was submerged in a box filled with water alongside two other flagship phones – the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Pixel 8 Pro. The box was then frozen for six hours. After thawing, it was found that all three phones, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra, functioned normally without any noticeable issues, despite an initial fog buildup on some of the devices. This test showcases the durability of these devices, particularly the Galaxy S24 Ultra, in extreme conditions. However, it’s important to note that the test was conducted in minimal water depth, and the results might vary under different conditions, especially in deeper water where hydrostatic pressure is higher. All three phones tested have an IP68 rating, indicating their resistance to water and dust [❞] [❞] [❞].
