It’s official, US is not able to defend itself against an alien invasion: Report
The United States Department of Defense (DoD) has recently released a concerning statement about the nation’s defense capabilities. An official report acknowledges that the U.S. is currently ill-equipped to handle a potential alien invasion, a conclusion stemming from an assessment of responses to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), formerly known as UFOs.
Background:
The DoD’s focus on UAP is not new. In July 2022, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) was established to handle all UAP-related matters. This move came amid growing concerns and public interest in UAP sightings and their implications for national security.
The Report’s Findings:
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) summarized the previously confidential report, ‘Evaluation of the DoD’s Actions Regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.’ It highlights the Pentagon’s lack of a comprehensive, coordinated approach to addressing UAP. The report emphasizes that this deficiency could pose a threat to military forces and national security.
Key Concerns:
The OIG’s summary raised alarms about the DoD’s unpreparedness for extraterrestrial encounters, despite not implying any imminent alien threat. This admission is significant given the increasing number of UAP sightings reported by military personnel in recent years.
Recommendations:
To mitigate these concerns, the OIG made 11 recommendations. These include the enforcement of protection policies and the development of new tools to tackle potential extraterrestrial threats. The recommendations call for an integrated approach to UAP, incorporating them into existing intelligence, counterintelligence, and force protection policies.
Government Response:
In response to the OIG’s findings, the DoD is expected to formulate a policy that integrates roles, responsibilities, and coordination procedures related to UAP. This effort involves collaboration with the Director of AARO and various defense departments.
While the likelihood of an alien invasion remains a topic of debate, the DoD’s report underscores the importance of being prepared for all forms of threats, terrestrial or otherwise.
