- Urban Transformation in Shillong: The Iewduh transformation project worth ₹25 crore and pedestrianisation of Khyndailad, aimed at modernising the city’s busiest spaces.
- Relocation of Street Vendors: Moving hawkers into improved facilities equipped with essential amenities such as water, electricity, and sanitation.
- Empowering Anganwadi Workers: Distribution of mobile phones to Anganwadi workers across Meghalaya, strengthening digital outreach for women and child welfare programmes.
These achievements, Lyngdoh emphasized, were not confined to his constituency. He stressed that development initiatives were taken up across constituencies, even in areas represented by opposition MLAs. For example, he noted the construction of stadiums in constituencies such as Mawsynram, where he ensured projects moved forward despite political differences.
On Disappointment and Political Setbacks
When asked if he felt betrayed, Lyngdoh resisted the temptation to use charged language. He acknowledged disappointment but described the reshuffle as part of political life. “Setbacks happen, but they can also pave the way for something greater,” he observed, underscoring his belief that politics is about resilience as much as it is about power.
He also pointed out that his “personal feelings will not dictate” the direction of his political journey. Instead, decisions would be made in consultation with his party colleagues, particularly the Shillong City unit of the UDP.
