India has taken an important step toward reshaping its energy future with the announcement of a major natural gas discovery in the Andaman Sea. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri confirmed that natural gas had been found during exploration in the region, sparking discussions about its potential to transform India’s energy landscape and reduce its heavy reliance on imports.
