Submitting an SIR (Self-Intimation Report/Service Information Report), whether for service voters, BLO duties, or polling personnel deployment, is only the first step in the Election Commission of India’s verification process. Many applicants worry about whether their form has been properly uploaded or whether it is still pending at the office of the BLO, RO, or district election authorities.
This guide explains the different ways to confirm your SIR upload status and how to track it depending on the type of form you submitted.
🔹 Understanding What SIR Means
The term SIR is used in multiple ways under the Election Commission system:
- For Service Voters: SIR refers to the forms used to register service personnel (Forms 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D).
- For Polling Personnel: SIR may refer to the Service Information Report used by government employees deployed on election duty.
- For BLOs and Field Staff: It can refer to reports uploaded via the BLO App or ERO-NET.
Because of these different uses, the method of checking the upload status also differs.
✔ 1. If Your SIR Was for Service Voter Registration
For military personnel, central armed police forces, and state police units posted outside their constituency, the ECI provides a dedicated tracking system.
How to Track Online
- Visit the Service Voter Portal:
👉 https://servicevoter.eci.gov.in - Select “Track Application Status”.
- Enter your:
- Form type
- Reference/Acknowledgement number
- Mobile number or email ID
- The portal will show whether your SIR has been:
- Submitted
- Uploaded to ERO-NET
- Verified by ERO
- Accepted / Rejected
This is the most direct and reliable method for service voters.
✔ 2. If Your SIR Was Submitted for Election Duty (Polling Personnel)
Government employees assigned for polling duty fill out an SIR containing service details, department information, and personal data. However, the Election Commission does not allow individual employees to check this status online.
How to Verify Upload Status
You can confirm the upload only through:
A. Your Department Nodal Officer
Ask them:
“Has my SIR been uploaded to the ECI deployment system/ERO-NET?”
They have backend access.
B. Returning Officer (RO/ARO) or District Election Office
Provide:
- Mobile number
- EPIC number
- SIR submission date
They can verify whether your form has been successfully uploaded and linked to the deployment module.
C. SMS Alerts
Once your details are processed, the system may send an SMS to confirm update or training schedule allocation.
✔ 3. If Your SIR Was Submitted via BLO or ERO-NET (Field Staff Work)
If you submitted your SIR as a Booth Level Officer or field-level staff:
How to Check
- Contact your BLO Supervisor or ERO.
- They can see your form status in:
- BLO App
- ERO-NET dashboard
- District electoral rolls system
You cannot check this online yourself.
✔ 4. If You Submitted the Form Offline
Hard-copy SIR forms are still used in many states. After submission, they must be manually uploaded by the office.
How to Confirm
- Visit or call the receiving authority
- Provide your details
- Ask whether your form has been digitally uploaded
Offline entries normally take 24–72 hours to appear in the system.
What You Cannot Check Directly Online
The Election Commission currently does not offer:
- A public portal to track the upload status of SIR for polling personnel
- A login system for government employees assigned to election duty
- Any dashboard for BLOs or field staff to check their own uploads
These remain internal to the ECI and accessible only to authorized officials.
