Podcaster Joe Rogan, who endorsed Donald Trump during the 2024 election and hosted him for a lengthy interview, has expressed concern about the president’s recent behavior, agreeing with a guest that Trump appears to be “losing it” as he approaches age 80.
The comments came during the December 23 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring comedian Tom Segura. The discussion centered on Trump’s decision to install new bronze plaques beneath presidential portraits in the White House’s “Presidential Walk of Fame,” a display Trump created earlier in his second term.
The plaques, unveiled in mid-December, feature highly partisan and personal commentary. For former President Joe Biden—represented not by a portrait but by a photo of an autopen signature—the plaque calls him “Sleepy Joe Biden” and “by far, the worst President in American History,” alleging he took office via “the most corrupt Election ever seen.” Barack Obama’s plaque describes him as “one of the most divisive political figures in American History” and mocks the Affordable Care Act as “highly ineffective ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act.”
Other plaques praise Republican presidents, with Ronald Reagan noted as a “fan” of Trump.
Segura called the presidency under Trump “a parody of a real thing,” citing examples like digging up the Rose Garden and renaming the Kennedy Center. He bluntly stated Trump is “losing it too, you can tell.”
Rogan agreed: “Well, I think everybody does when you get to a certain age.” He described the plaques as “nothing nuttier,” asking repeatedly, “How is this real? How are you allowed to do that?”
