Samsung Expands Glasses-Free 3D Gaming with Promise of Over 120 Supported Titles by Year-End

Samsung Electronics has announced ambitious plans to significantly grow its glasses-free 3D gaming ecosystem, revealing at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026 that the Odyssey 3D Hub platform will support over 120 games by the end of the year.

The announcement, made during the GDC Festival of Gaming in San Francisco, highlights Samsung’s ongoing efforts to revive immersive 3D gaming without the need for headsets or special glasses. The Odyssey 3D Hub currently supports more than 60 titles, and the company is actively expanding this library through partnerships with game developers and optimized compatibility.

Key upcoming additions include Hell is Us, an action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, which will arrive on the platform in March 2026 as part of the initial wave of new 3D-enabled releases. Later in the year, Cronos: The New Dawn from Bloober Team is expected to join the lineup. These titles join an existing collection that already features notable games such as Stellar Blade, Lies of P: Overture, The First Berserker: Khazan, and others.

At the heart of this ecosystem is the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor (G90XF model), a 27-inch 4K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It employs advanced lenticular lens technology combined with real-time eye-tracking and view mapping to deliver stereoscopic 3D effects. The system dynamically adjusts depth and perspective based on the viewer’s position, creating a natural sense of immersion with a recommended viewing distance of around 27–40 inches. For users preferring traditional viewing, the monitor seamlessly reverts to high-quality 2D performance.

Samsung is further expanding the Odyssey 3D lineup with the launch of a 32-inch model by the end of 2026, broadening accessibility for gamers seeking larger screens. The platform also integrates HDR10+ GAMING enhancements, with partnerships like the one for Cyberpunk 2077 demonstrating improved visual fidelity in supported titles.

Early feedback on the Odyssey 3D monitor has praised its implementation of glasses-free 3D as one of the most effective available, offering convincing depth for single-player experiences with reduced eye strain compared to older 3D technologies. While initial concerns included a premium price point and a smaller game library, Samsung’s current push addresses the content gap directly.

This development represents a meaningful step toward making glasses-free 3D gaming a viable mainstream option again. Success will hinge on continued developer adoption, the quality of 3D conversions or native support, and real-world user experiences. With over 120 titles targeted by December 2026, Samsung is positioning the Odyssey 3D as a compelling choice for gamers interested in deeper immersion without additional hardware.
