Guwahati, May 23, 2026 – Trump Mobile, the cellular service and T1 smartphone venture backed by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, has confirmed a security incident that exposed the personal information of customers who pre-ordered the device or signed up for service.
The breach involved a vulnerability in a third-party platform used by the company, which inadvertently made customer records publicly accessible online. According to reports, the exposed data included:
- Full names
- Email addresses
- Home and mailing addresses
- Mobile phone numbers
- Order identifiers and enrollment IDs
Importantly, sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers, payment details, and passwords were not compromised.
The incident came to public attention after popular YouTubers Coffeezilla (known as voidzilla) and penguinz0 (MoistCr1TiKaL), both of whom had pre-ordered the phone, were contacted by a security researcher. The researcher demonstrated the flaw by providing the influencers with their own personal data pulled from the exposed database. The YouTubers subsequently highlighted the issue publicly, noting that Trump Mobile had been slow to respond to initial private alerts.
Analysis of the leaked records reportedly revealed approximately 10,000 unique customers and around 30,000 orders — far lower than some of the promotional figures previously circulated by the company. The exposure occurred as the gold-colored Trump T1 phone, a rebranded device that faced significant shipping delays, finally began reaching customers.
Trump Mobile has since implemented additional safeguards to close the vulnerability and stated that an independent investigation is underway. The company has indicated it will work on properly notifying affected individuals.
Advice for Affected Customers
If you pre-ordered the Trump T1 phone or signed up for Trump Mobile service, it is recommended to:
- Closely monitor your email inbox, phone, and physical mail for suspicious activity or phishing attempts.
- Be wary of scams that may use your leaked personal details to appear legitimate.
- Consider placing a credit freeze or signing up for identity theft monitoring services as a precaution.
- Avoid clicking on unsolicited links claiming to be from Trump Mobile.
This incident is particularly notable given Trump Mobile’s marketing emphasis on privacy and security. Data exposures of this nature remain a common risk for newer ventures that rely heavily on external service providers, especially during rushed product launches.
The event has drawn widespread coverage from major technology outlets, raising questions about the operational readiness and data-handling practices of the Trump-backed mobile venture.
