The messages were attributed to two individuals identifying themselves as Arzu (or Aarzoo) Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi, who described themselves as associates of Lawrence Bishnoi. In the post, they stated that people like Aamir Khan were promoting what they called “love jihad” against Indian culture, adding that such actions would not be tolerated and that consequences would follow soon. The message framed the alleged promotion as being against Sanatan Dharma and the nation.
The voice note and post also referenced a separate case involving a 13-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district who was allegedly abducted, trafficked and sexually assaulted. The communicators praised the administration’s response in that matter while warning political leaders against shielding any accused. They promised that anyone promoting what they described as disgraceful acts would be dealt with “in our own way,” and that those using stardom to encourage such behaviour would be silenced.
A more recent report in late July indicated that a threatening audio message, in which the caller identified himself as Arzu Bishnoi and warned that Aamir Khan would be “taught a lesson,” was sent using a VPN with an initial IP address traced to Sweden. A malicious Facebook post related to the matter was also said to be circulating. Similar threats have previously been directed at other celebrities, including Salman Khan and Kapil Sharma.
The accusation centres on Aamir Khan’s marriage to Gauri Spratt, which took place in an intimate ceremony at his Mumbai home on July 5, 2026. The wedding drew mixed reactions, including online criticism and political commentary that linked it to the contentious concept of “love jihad.” Some voices labelled the actor a promoter or even a “brand ambassador” of the idea. The term itself is used by certain right-wing groups to allege a conspiracy in which Muslim men lure Hindu women into relationships or marriages with the aim of converting them to Islam.
